This project-oriented course focuses on advanced classification procedures incorporating digital elevation data, fuzzy and object-oriented classification, and new millennium data sources such as ASTER, RADAR, MODIS, LiDAR and high-resolution imagery. Repeat imagery is used to assess local and global changes in land cover and cryospheric environments.
COVID-19 DRIVEN COURSE CHANGES
Due to the changes in course delivery options as a result of COVID-19, adjustments will be made to the course requirements and delivery options. The rest of the course will be delivered in the following manner:
The fourth assignment will be removed (making the course out of 90 rather that 100)
The Literature review is till due March 24th
Projects will be due on April 21
The take home final midterm will be sent out via email on April 22 (4:30 PM) and is due April 24 at noon (via email and saved in your home workspace).
